Is this Love?!

// February 15th, 2010 // Comments Off // Uncategorized

I was looking through some photos on Valentine’s Day when I ran across this photo I snapped last December.

I don’t know why but I saw love on the ground.

Yeah it’s obvious the grass makes a heart shape but I’m referring to my kids!

As a parent, does it get any better than that?

The photo below is what my mind saw.

Carving Idols

// October 30th, 2009 // Comments Off // Uncategorized

So I gave into the societal pressure of carving idols for the serpent on Devil’s Eve. I felt so convicted and ashamed for subjecting my children to this mindless tradition but then when I got home and looked at their faces in these photos, my heart became warm like the inside of a jack-o-lantern on muggy Halloween Eve’s night. Plus it couldn’t be that bad because we bought the pumpkins from a pumpkin patch at a Methodist Church which means that John and Charles Wesley must have approved of this, so who am I to say pumpkins are a sin, right? (just kidding around)

Hope enjoy the photos!

Our Little Weekend Getaway!

// July 20th, 2009 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

We loaded up and got out of Hutto for the weekend. We went and saw Braylon’s Great Grandmother in Kilgore. I never thought I’d see the the day where My Grandmother would watch a movie with my kids … and Spongebob at that!!! It is so special for me to see them get to know Gam more and more.

We also surprised his Poppa Rick & Granny at their church in Tyler. It was a fun weekend and we have photos to prove it.

My Pretty Princess

// July 2nd, 2009 // No Comments » // Uncategorized

People can laugh all they want that we live in Hutto but I bet their cool town doesn’t have a Honking Castle? huh? About 5 miles down the road from our house is a castle that someone built for their home. Pretty cool idea I think. It’s especially cool if you have a 2-year old daughter that thinks she is a Princess.

Chelan had the great idea of dressing Angel up in the Princess dress that Granny bought her and getting some priceless princess photos. I’m so glad we tresspassed now!
