4th Grade Party ~ Halloween Style

Braylon had his 1st ever Halloween Party Saturday. He had a great turn-out ~ there were 9 kids here (in alph.order & order of pics below: Aly, Angel, Bradley, Braylon, Gabby, Jamae, Lucas, Marcos, Russell).
The night wasn’t too scary – no spooky costumes – just an excuse to get friends together on a weekend that happened to be near Halloween.
We’d planned for a Thriller Dance attempt by all watching a Youtube Tutorial, and also – a good ol’ fashioned Pumpkin-Smashing, but didn’t quite get to those things…too much for 3 hours. However, we DID get to the…
- Apple-bobbing Contest
- Making Caramel Apples
- Nerf-gun hide & seek
- Narnia Room (our attic) exploring
- A kids movie (to calm & contain them all for a little bit)
- Color Hair Spray Contest
- A Screening of an episode the 1986 Classic TV Series by Steven Spielberg, Amazing Stories called, “Mummy Daddy”
- Photo-taking for a face-transposing project for Ricky to take on, using Photoshop. Each kid chose a celebrity or animated character photo to have his or her face transposed onto their head by Braylon’s awesome dad! Photos yet to be revealed…

When I was tucking the kids in after it was all said & done, and I asked if they had anything they wanted to pray about, Braylon asked,
“Can it be a thank-you?” I said,
“Of course!”
He looked over at me with a bright smile and replied,
“OK…then, for a party and a whole day that was…”
(dramatic pause)
“OFF. THE. HOOK!!”
